Description

x42-limiter is a digital peak limiter plug-in used for preventing clipping during mixing and mastering, or on individual tracks. It offers mono and stereo variants, applies gain reduction uniformly in the stereo version, and has a latency of 1.2 ms at 44.1 kHz (56 samples) or 48 kHz (64 samples). The limiter operates in digital-peak or true-peak mode, affecting only the detection mechanism. Control knobs respond to mouse input, with fine-grained adjustment using the Ctrl key. The level and gain reduction display ranges from -10 to +20dB, while the meter at the bottom shows the peak signal level and gain reduction history.
